A few last notes
Hi,
Well this is probably my last post for a while. Computers in Laos are supposed to be few and far between. Not to mention when you do find them they are very very slow. We plan on being there for 14 days. However, there should be no concern if you dont hear from in that time. The time to worry would be after March 23rd or so (your 24th) that is when we are supposed to be in Bangkok again. If we haven't found a computer by then, something strange happened. No need to worry though, I'm sure the trip will continue to be safe.
The two things I forgot to mention.
First, it seems that this part of China has much more ethnic diversity than other places we have been. Everyone is still Chinese, but there are many more smaller ethnic groups here.
Second, the market i mentioned yesterday...they also have an overabundance of Sony Play Station stores. You can buy a PS1, PS2, or a PSP and in at least 2 colors too.
Not much today...we bought some special Yunnan Tea, and some tea candy (very good). We had Across the Bridge noodles for lunch (hot chicken broth is served, then you put in some very thinly sliced meat, quail eggs, herbs, and noodles. let it sit for a while so it can all cook and eat up). We both enjoyed this dish. Though it was way too much.
Well, we are off to very Southern China soon. Then on the 3rd we go into Laos.
