Hue
Hi,
We got to Hue today after a relatively short bus ride (4 hours). Its a bigger city than Hoi An but still very nice. We walked around a bit today to explore. While we were doing this the cyclo drivers would not leave us alone, but it wasn't too bad. We only visited a museum inside the citadel (which I will tell you about later) and the market. The museum housed old royal regalia, some of the nicest we have seen this whole trip. The museum itself was an impressive old wood palace. The market we visited was far less touristy than any other market we have been to. It was packed, with food and house goods, the aisles were very tight, and there were thousands of people there.
After the market we stopped to have some of the best coffee we have had so far at a little coffee shop. On the walk home we stopped in a candy shop and a clothing store where we each bought a Vietnam t-shirt.
We have reservations for dinner at 6 (an hour from now) so we are going to go upstairs and get ready now.
